It is our goal to make your dream tour a reality!
Winery Tours Walla Walla has been in business since 2008 providing customized wine tours to hundreds of guests from near and far. The first winery established in Walla Walla was Leonetti Cellars in 1977 and now the region hosts approximately 130 wineries! That is a lot of wine touring and tasting to do!
The Walla Wally Valley American Viticultural Area (AVA) was established in 1984 and is well known for Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Yet, a number of other varietals are grown in the area. Wineries also source grapes from other parts of the state, as our summers are too hot for certain varietals such as Chardonnay.
Take a wine tour with a well established business with knowledgeable drivers.
2020 will go down in the history books. Over the summer, Walla Walla moved to phase two on COVID-19 precautions. Wineries typically served outside and limited the table groups to five. Depending on the winery you either received flights of wine to taste or a few pours at a time. However, as colder temperatures arrived and people moved indoors and people eased their precautions COVID -19 has returned with a vengeance including Walla Walla. Many wineries have closed for the season as Barrel Weekend has been cancelelled. There are a handful of wineries that are open by appointment but you will be sitting outside with heaters and possibly blankets. Restaurants are back to "to go" menus. According to Governor Inslee, this was necessary to get the latest COVD-19 surge under control. Yes, it has put a damper on Thanksgiving celebrations but it is a matter of saving lives.
As for Winery Tours Walla Walla, we only provide private tours, meaning we will not pair you with another group in one vehicle. We will limit the number of passengers to five based on the largest group wineries will allow.. The drivers will wear masks, and all passengers while in the car must wear a mask. The driver may or may not be able to join you in the tasting room depending on the number of people allowed into the winery and in your group. After each tour is completed, the cars will be sanitized on the inside and washed on the outside before the next scheduled tour.
We are slowly updating our website to reflect changes in wineries, as well as restaurants, as COVID-19 has taken its toll on some local establishments.
